Overview

Patients undergoing liver transplantation are usually associated with malnutrition. Sarcopenia is characterized by muscle mass depletion and decrease in muscle power or physical activity. In this State-of-the-Art Session, I would like to talk about the impact of pre-transplant sarcopenia on survival after liver transplantation and usefulness of perioperative nutritional therapy.

Objectives

To learn significance of sarcopenia and perioperative nutritional therapy in liver transplantation
