Dr. Wolfe is an Associate Professor of Medicine, in the Division of Infectious Disease. At Duke, Cameron serves as one of the core Transplant Infectious Disease faculty, involved in teaching and clinical leadership. Nationally, his expertize in the fields of transplantation and infections in the immunocompromised host has been recognized with appointment as the current Chair of the Disease Transmission Advisory Committee, a national transplant committee under contract through the US Department of Health and Human Services. Cameron maintains an active HIV practice. He is also the Medical Director of the Duke Emerging Pathogens Unit, a group charged with keeping the hospital and university prepared in the event of emerging biothreats. He is active in viral research, with multiple influenza and respiratory viral studies ongoing at Duke.
