Dr. K.F. Chau is the consultant nephrologist, Department of Medicine, Queen Elizabeth Hospital. She graduated in 1980 from the University of Hong Kong and became member of Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 1985. Currently she is the fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Before her retirement in 2016, Dr. Chau was the core member of the Central Renal Committee, Central Transplant Committee and the Drug Management Committee of the Hong Kong Hospital Authority. Internationally, she is the head of the medical committee of the World Transplant Games Federation. For the past 10 years, she has been actively promoting exercise in transplant recipients. She is the honorary president of the Hong Kong Transplant Sports Association and team leader of the Hong Kong Transplant Athletes in participation in various World Transplant Games and Chinese Transplant Games. Being the past president of the Hong Kong Society of Transplantation, past chairman of the Hong Kong Society of Nephrology and current Board Member of the Hong Kong Kidney Foundation and member of the Government Organ Donation Promotion Committee, Dr. Chau has enormous contribution to the field of nephrology and organ transplantation throughout the years.
