Sara Jiménez studied medicine at the Autonomous University of Madrid, and completed her specialty in Nephrology at the Ramón y Cajal Hospital, where she works mainly in the field of renal transplant since 2006. She has done different studies mainly focused on the bone mineral metabolism of the transplant patients and its relationship with the development of cardiovascular disease as well as tumors. She is currently working on the study of the association of different markers with bone disease in kidney transplantation.
