Research interests: 'My training and core research domain is in Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. With my team collaborators I use an array of behavioural and neuroimagery (fMRI, EEG, TMS, cortical stimulation) techniques, to understand the functions of different brain regions. I have had a longstanding interest in the role of parietal cortex in motor functions and motor plasticity. My research also focuses on the contribution of cognitive, social and emotional factors in decision making and the role of the frontal cortex in regulating choice behaviour. I am interested on the effect of hormones such as oxytocin in the regulation of social interaction in healthy subjects and in patients with autism.'
